About Us

“I thought I had all the tools and knowledge to run a successful business. I was wrong.”

In 2001, I decided to start my own business. It wasn’t an overnight decision; my career in the hotel industry demanded a lot of travel and very long hours. My son was 8 years old and I didn’t want to be away from home so much. Besides, I’d always wanted to be my own boss.

My background in sales and marketing for Fortune 1000 and Fortune 500 companies seemed like the perfect complement to launching my own business. It wasn’t! I had to learn a whole new skill set in order to be a successful solopreneur. A good foundation helped but I still needed to learn how to market my business without the benefit of a high priced public relations firm, advertising agency and seemingly endless budget.

Another challenge was the lack of support staff. Without the assistance of a receptionist or secretary, I found myself spending far too much time on tasks that weren’t the best use of my abilities. I was “putting out fires” instead of attracting clients.

This experience taught me that there are a lot of business owners who are great at what they do, but just don’t know how to run a successful business. It could be the inability to delegate or the resistance to marketing themselves.

“Working with small business owners and solopreneurs has been the most gratifying work I’ve ever done”

It takes great courage and dedication to build a successful business. At times the challenges may seem daunting, but the rewards are immense. Let me show you how you can work smarter not harder to achieve the success you deserve.
